The Sur-Ron electric bike price you pay in Australia depends almost entirely on which of four models you choose. Our current range starts at $6,490 for the Light Bee X and tops out at $15,490 for the Storm Bee Enduro, and the gap between them is a lot more than a badge. Power, battery size, weight and the kind of riding each bike is built for all change as you climb the ladder.
This guide lays the four bikes out side by side, using the figures on each product page, so you can see what extra money actually buys. Every one of these bikes is an off-road recreational vehicle for private property and designated riding areas.

What each price tier buys
Light Bee X: the entry point
Sur-Ron Light Bee X (60V 40Ah)
Australia's most popular electric trail bike with 6kW peak power, 60V 40Ah battery, and lightweight 50kg dry weight.
At $6,490 the Light Bee X is the cheapest way into the brand and the bike most people picture when they search for a Surron for sale. It is a lightweight 50kg machine with a 6kW peak motor, a 2,400Wh pack, and a listed range of up to 100km in eco mode. Hydraulic 4-piston brakes with 203mm rotors and a forged aluminium frame come standard. For a first electric dirt bike it is easy to move around, easy to load on a ute, and kind to beginners. We cover this model in depth in our Light Bee X price breakdown.
Ultra Bee: more power and more battery
Sur-Ron Ultra Bee (74V 55Ah / 12.5kW)
Full-sized mid-weight enduro electric bike with 12.5kW peak power, 440Nm torque, and integrated traction control (SRTC).
The Ultra Bee at $10,990 is the step up for riders who have outgrown the Light Bee. It lifts peak power to 12.5kW, torque to 440Nm at the rear wheel, and capacity to 4,070Wh, with up to 140km listed in eco mode. It also brings 240mm adjustable suspension, three riding modes plus reverse, and SRTC traction control. At 85kg it is noticeably heavier, so expect it to feel more planted and less flickable.
Storm Bee Enduro and Storm Bee MX
Sur-Ron Storm Bee Enduro (104V 55Ah / 22.5kW)
Full-sized electric enduro motorcycle with 104V high-voltage power, 520Nm torque, and 4 riding modes.
The Storm Bee Enduro at $15,490 is the flagship. A 104V 55Ah Sony VTC6 pack (5,720Wh) feeds 22.5kW and 520Nm, with Eco, Rain, Sport and Turbo modes plus reverse. It lists 110km/h and up to 120km of range at 127kg. This is a serious machine, and it demands respect and good protective gear.
Sur-Ron Storm Bee MX Track Edition (22.5kW)
Dedicated stripped-back track motocross edition with competition 21/18 wheelset and lightweight harness.
The Storm Bee MX Track Edition at $14,490 shares the same motor and battery but strips the bike back for competition. It rides on a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheelset with motocross knobbies, and it weighs 122kg. If you are shopping for an electric motocross bike to use at a track, this is the Sur-Ron aimed at that job. Our electric motocross bikes category compares it with other track-focused models, and our guide to electric motocross bikes from beginner to pro explains how to choose.

Why the prices climb the way they do
Four things move the number on the tag, and understanding them helps you decide where to stop.
Battery size and voltage
Capacity rises from 2,400Wh on the Light Bee X to 4,070Wh on the Ultra Bee and 5,720Wh on both Storm Bee models. Watt hours are volts multiplied by amp hours, so 60V x 40Ah gives 2,400Wh and 104V x 55Ah gives 5,720Wh. A bigger, higher-voltage pack costs more to build, and it is the main reason the Storm Bee sits so far above the Light Bee X. If you want the theory behind this, our guide to batteries, voltage and range walks through it.
Suspension, brakes and electronics
The Light Bee X has a solid hydraulic brake setup and a forged aluminium frame, but the Ultra Bee adds 240mm fully adjustable front and rear suspension and SRTC traction control. The Storm Bee Enduro adds four riding modes and reverse. Each upgrade matters more the harder and faster you ride, and it matters very little on a gentle fire trail.
Weight
Weight climbs from 50kg to 127kg across the range. A lighter bike is easier to pick up, load and forgive. A heavier bike is stable at speed and soaks up rough ground, but a fall costs you more.
Cost per kilowatt: a fairer way to compare
Sticker price alone can mislead. One simple yardstick is price divided by peak power. This is an illustration, not a performance rating, and it ignores weight, suspension and battery size.
| Model | Price | Peak power | Roughly per kW |
|---|---|---|---|
| Light Bee X | $6,490 | 6kW | $1,082 |
| Ultra Bee | $10,990 | 12.5kW | $879 |
| Storm Bee MX | $14,490 | 22.5kW | $644 |
| Storm Bee Enduro | $15,490 | 22.5kW | $688 |
Read it this way. The Light Bee X is the cheapest bike, but you pay more for each kilowatt. That is why the Sur-Ron electric bike price alone never tells the whole story. If you know you will want a lot of power, the bigger bikes are better value per kilowatt, even though the cheque is bigger. If you only ride gentle trails, the extra kilowatts are power you will never use.
Surron ebike price: what else goes in the budget
The bike is rarely the whole bill. Plan for these extras.
- A second battery for longer days.
- A faster charger if the standard one is too slow for you.
- Protection such as a skid plate, plus a helmet, gloves, boots and body armour.
- Transport, either a ute tray, trailer or hitch rack.
Spare battery and charger
The genuine 60V 40Ah replacement pack for the Light Bee X is $1,790, and a 15A smart charger is $380. Riders who want a full day on the trail often buy a second pack rather than waiting for one to charge, so factor that into the true Sur-Ron electric bike price if you plan long rides.
Protection and gear
A 5mm aluminium skid plate is $195 and protects the underside from rocks and logs. Add a full-face helmet, gloves, boots and body armour before you ride, because a small stack of gear costs far less than a trip to the emergency department.
Running costs are low compared with a petrol bike because there is no fuel, no oil and no air filter to clean. We compare the two in detail in our running cost breakdown. Our accessories category covers batteries, chargers and protection in one place.

Where you can ride one
Sur-Ron bikes are high-performance recreational vehicles. Ride them on private property with the owner's permission, or in designated off-road areas that allow electric bikes. Rules differ between states and councils, and some bikes may need registration or a licence in certain settings, so check with your state authority before you ride anywhere. The NSW Government e-bike page is a good place to start, and the ACCC product safety page on e-micromobility devices covers national safety work. For a general overview of the category, see the electric motorcycles and scooters article. Browse the wider electric dirt bikes range if you want to compare other brands. Our brands page shows who else we stock, and a Sur-Ron ebike for sale is only one of several good options if your priorities differ.

How much work is it to maintain an electric dirt bike?
Not much compared with petrol. There is no engine oil, no spark plug and no carburettor. You still need to look after tyres, chain, brakes and suspension, and keep the battery charged and stored sensibly. Our pre-ride and post-wash maintenance guide covers the routine step by step.
