The integrated pre-charge resistor smoothly equalises controller capacitor voltages before the main contacts close, eliminating the dangerous electrical arcing and contact pitting that shortens connector lifespan and can cause battery and controller damage. Rated at 150 Amps continuous and 300 Amps peak, the QS8-S handles the full current demands of 72V high-discharge battery packs paired with Torp TC500 or EBMX X-9000 controllers.
